AMTSO, the cybersecurity industry’s testing standard community, announced today the appointment of Vlad Iliushin as its new President and CEO. Iliushin succeeds Dennis Batchelder, who is stepping down after eight successful years at the organization’s helm.
“We are thrilled to welcome Vlad Iliushin as AMTSO’s new president and CEO. His entrepreneurship, deep expertise, and contributions to AMTSO make him an excellent fit for this role,” said Luis Corrons, chairman of the board at AMTSO. “Dennis Batchelder let the board know some time ago that we should start looking for a new leader, and we have been searching for the right candidate since the beginning of the year. We are pleased to continue working closely with Dennis as he remains an integral part of AMTSO, and we extend our sincere thanks to him for his outstanding leadership since 2016. Dennis has left an indelible mark on the organization, and we are pleased to continue working closely with him as he remains an integral part of AMTSO. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”
Iliushin, founder and CEO of ELLIO Technology, has been a member of AMTSO’s board since July 2022. He brings over a decade of cybersecurity experience, particularly in fighting mass exploitation attacks, IoT and mobile security, having previously led Avast’s IoT Lab and contributed significantly to AMTSO’s IoT working group.
As AMTSO enters this new chapter, Iliushin will focus on three key objectives:
Retention: Ensuring members receive maximum value from AMTSO by enhancing the organization’s value offerings. For this, a goal is to gain a deeper understanding of members’ evolving needs.
Expansion: Broadening the scope of AMTSO’s initiatives beyond traditional antivirus testing, expanding new ventures like the VPN and XDR working groups designed to address the rapidly evolving threat landscape.
Outreach: Attracting and engaging new members, ensuring continued growth and relevance of the organization in the cybersecurity industry.
Iliushin said: “I am honored to step into the role of President and CEO of AMTSO, and I’m excited to collaborate with our members to elevate our community to new heights, building on the strong foundation Dennis has established over the past years. AMTSO began with a focus on fair standards in antivirus testing, but has since expanded to encompass other cybersecurity areas such as XDR, VPN, and IoT security. I look forward to driving this growth further in close collaboration with the board, executive team, and our members. Strengthening and expanding our member base will be key to our future success.”
